Welcome back to the Auberry Community Church website!

Join us as we journey through Genesis chapters 12-17 and explore God's covenant with Abram, later named Abraham. Discover how God chose a pagan man named Abram and promised to make him the father of a great nation, even changing his name to Abraham, meaning "father of a multitude."

We'll discuss Abraham's roots in Ur and the difficult journey God called him to take to the land of Canaan. See how Abraham wavered in trusting God's promise of an heir, trying to take matters into his own hands. Yet despite Abraham's mistakes, God remained faithful, appearing to him as a smoking fire pot and making an unconditional covenant with him.

You'll also learn the significance of circumcision as the sign of God's covenant, and how it represented a spiritual sign of setting oneself apart for God. We'll emphasize the importance of spiritual circumcision being a matter of the heart, both for people in the Old Testament and followers of Jesus today.
